From major mass participation sporting events to influential sporting charities and nutrition brands, they are dedicated to creating compelling narratives that resonate with a wide range of audiences.
The Role:
As Communications Executive, you will be at the forefront of driving media coverage across national, regional, and trade outlets. Your role will encompass creating persuasive written content, managing social media strategies, and even producing and editing engaging video content. While sport will be your core, your work will span beyond the sports media, often collaborating with lifestyle consumer journalists and trade press, ensuring each day brings exciting new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pitching stories to journalists and identifying compelling narratives
- Crafting well-written content, including op-eds, blogs, press releases, and news articles
- Managing and executing social media strategies for clients
- Producing captivating video content, from planning to filming and editing
- Assisting with reporting and account management
- Attending client events and meetings
- Supporting media operations at events and media calls
- Distributing press releases and conducting sell-in activities
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Some experience in media relations and PR Strong copywriting skills Familiarity with social media and digital platforms Car owner/driver
Desirable:
- Ability to develop and execute social media strategies Video production, filming, and editing skills (or willingness to learn)
