Working here is going to be challenging and demanding, but it will also be creative and collaborative.  You’re going to be rolling up your sleeves on occasion, but you will also need to be able to bring new ideas and thinking.  You absolutely will not be bored here, ever!  CRM and email marketing are key skills for you to bring to the table.

You will be responsible for managing all marketing campaigns targeting existing customers. With a growing base of 1.2 million customers there is ample opportunity to increase sales volumes and increase customer average order value.

This will be achieved through marketing tactics, up-selling ancillary products post sale, encouraging customers to refer friends and family and re-engaging customers who have recently left. You’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for each tactic, monitoring and communicating performance to the business, as well as continual optimisation through a robust test and learn process.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join the marketing team at a time when all activity relating to existing customers is being revamped. Essentially starting with a clean slate, we are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience developing and implementing strategy for marketing campaigns. Whilst campaigns to existing customers are not solely driven by eCRM, this is a key communication channel. Therefore, it’s essential that you have experience managing and optimising email  marketing activity. This incudes have a good working knowledge of how email service providers work.

It’s also essential you are comfortable with assessing campaign performance, making recommendations for improvements and lead the implantation. You will be responsible for a team member, which could grow over time.


  • Development and implementation of the strategies for campaigns to existing customers
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance
  • Constantly testing and evolving campaigns to maximise performance
  • Develop and maintain visual representations of end-to-end comms
  • Work closely with the Brand Comms team who will be responsible for producing email artwork and copy
  • Work closely with external eCRM agency
  • Work closely with email service provider to make best use of all its functionality
  • Collaborate with different areas of the business i.e. tech, pricing, product, ops, compliance etc.
  • Management and development of direct report(s)
  • Provide support where required to the marketing team

Skills and experience you need

  • Experience working in marketing
  • Demonstrable experience in campaign management including cross-sell and refer a friend
  • Demonstrable experience in eCRM led campaigns
  • To have worked with at least 2 leading ESPs
  • To have a good working knowledge of eCRM best practice
  • To have a proven ability to enhance existing eCRM programmes (personalization, multi-channel, journey mapping etc.)
  • To have experience and be comfortable managing and structuring email data
  • To be data driven and customer centric
  • Experience reading MI, evaluating and communicating performance
  • To be comfortable briefing, evaluating and feeding back on creative work
  • Experience working in a B2C organisation
  • Experience working in insurance or financial services is preferable, but not essential
