Overview: Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced financial services PR agency, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for financial services and ideally possess prior PR agency experience. The role focuses on pensions and investments, with employee benefits also being of interest. The chosen candidate will work with a diverse and interesting client list from day one.

Responsibilities:

  1. Developing PR and Marketing Strategies:
    • Collaborate with the team to create and implement effective PR and marketing plans and strategies.
  2. Client Interaction:
    • Liaise with clients, attend meetings, and participate in events to understand client needs and expectations.
  3. Relationship Building:
    • Establish and nurture connections with journalists, clients, and industry peers to enhance the agency’s network.
  4. Content Creation:
    • Research, write, proofread, and distribute various content forms, including press releases, articles, and blogs.
  5. Media Relations:
    • Identify relevant press stories, journalist interests, and secure opportunities for clients in relevant publications.
  6. Market Research:
    • Conduct thorough market research in various areas to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
  7. Event Support:
    • Provide occasional organization and support for events, such as press breakfasts and client seminars.
  8. Analysis and Reporting:
    • Evaluate media coverage, analyze results, and prepare comprehensive reports for clients.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Previous experience in a PR agency is preferred, with a strong understanding of the UK financial market. Industry training can be provided.
  • Skills:
    • Energetic, positive, and inquisitive mindset.
    • Proactive and creative thinking.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong organizational and efficiency skills.
    • Ability to work under deadlines and handle time pressure.
    • Familiarity with various PR and marketing communication activities, including social media.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
